PRANAYAMA is...

 

the 4th limb of yoga. Pranayama is breath control. Prana can be translated as breath, life force, or even the spirit of God. As we breathe, we draw in fresh and clear the pathways throughout the body. In the 8 Limbs, Pranayama comes after Asana and is the first of the seated practices that begin our focus on the subtle body and moving energy.
